Things That Make You Go Boom

I'm finally getting around to listening to the last few Plant Money podcasts. (As a side note, I highly recommend this podcast - very informative while remaining extremely accessible.) I absolutely loved the last one, which focused on Elko, Nevada, which is a gold boom town. The contrast between the abounding optimism of the younger people in town versus the more cautious approach of people who have lived through this before was an eye opener (especially considering that Elko is surrounded by ghost towns.) Worth the 20 minutes.
